What came first: the emotional eating or the weight problem? Not sure, but it’s something I still continue to struggle with.
The story goes that my family would wait to eat dinner once I was asleep because I insisted on eating every time someone would eat. Their plan didn’t work too well because I would wake up and yell “I think I hear forks out there” from my crib.
I have accepted that food is an integral part of my life and need not be blamed for my life problems, but instead celebrated for its ability to nourish my athletic performance and keep me healthy.
